Meet the team

I have been working at Bowes Brooks for nearly 9 years now, becoming an AAT Licensed Accountant and working my way up to the position of Practice Manager.

I currently oversee the Year End Accounts, Self Assessment Tax Returns and Payroll as well as dealing with any client queries and helping to ensure the office runs smoothly on a day to day basis.

Outside of work I like to spend time with my husband and two daughters - you will usually find us either at the horses or taking a walk in the countryside if the weather is nice or enjoying a movie if not!

Hi, I’m Sophie! I'm a Chartered Accountant working as a Client Manager at Bowes Brooks.

I’m passionate about helping individuals and businesses take control of their finances, and I take pride in being a dependable and approachable point of contact for my clients. I work closely with each client to provide clear and practical advice, whether they’re facing challenges or planning for future growth.

As part of my role, I lead our Bookkeeping and VAT department, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and delivered on time. I’m committed to maintaining accuracy and efficiency across the board, making sure our clients receive the support they need when they need it.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my rescue dog, Millie. We enjoy going on adventures to beaches, woodlands, and anywhere dog-friendly. I adopted Millie from a rescue centre in Devon back in 2021. She came all the way from the streets of Romania, and while I’m not quite sure of her breed, I do know she has a heart of gold. You may see Millie when you visit the Axminster office, as I'm lucky enough that she can come to work with me!

Hello, I'm Erin. I've been working at Bowes Brooks for almost 4 years now. I'm an AAT qualified Bookkeeper

I complete bookkeeping on behalf of our clients, ensuring that their records are up to date, they have timely financial information and VAT returns are submitted accurately and on time!

I manage the Self Assessments, making sure records are received and returns are submitted by the deadline.

As I manage a lot of deadlines you will probably encounter me chasing you for records

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my three younger brothers, they are all completely different so I get to do a wide range of activities. On my weekends I like to take the time to relax and reset for the week ahead

Xin Chao (Hi), I'm Sophia! I am originally from Vietnam.

I started working at Bowes Brooks in 2020 and am currently working towards my ACCA qualification.

I mainly support the accounts department in preparing the year end accounts for companies, partnerships and sole traders.

I also assist with bookkeeping and VAT for clients

When I'm not at work I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter. We love taking our dog out for long walks and I regularly watch my husband play rugby for Bridport.

We often go to the church in town and never miss out on our Sunday Roast!

Hi, I'm Henry.

I am currently working on a Level 3 AAT Apprenticeship with Bowes Brooks.

My aim is to become a Qualified Accountant

I mainly work within the Bookkeeping and VAT department. You'll probably hear from me when it's time to file your Confirmation Statement. I also assist with preparing Year End accounts.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time at home with my family, watching any sport that is on and playing video games with friends.

You may find me walking at the beach in summer and potentially in the sea, if it's sunny enough!

Hi, I’m Millie – the resident bundle of joy here at the office!

I’m lucky enough to spend my days with this wonderful team, and I absolutely love it. My official duties include providing unlimited cuddles, perfecting my ‘puppy dog eyes’ around lunchtime, and of course, keeping the team company while I snooze – it’s hard work supervising them all!

If you're ever nearby, feel free to pop in and say hello, I adore meeting new people (especially the ones with treats)!

I'm Charlie the Bowes Brooks feathery friend! These lovely people adopted me when my owner died and I was left on my own feeling very lonely..

You can find me chatting away, singing along to the radio or mimicking the phone ringing - my language is a little bit ripe but I can't help what I've been taught previously!

Being in the office is lots of fun as there's always different people coming and going that like a chat. Plus I get fed lots of lovely treats, my favourites being grapes, monkey nuts and a rich tea biscuit or two..

Bowes Brooks was founded by me when I relocated to the Axminster area.

I trained at a Chartered Accountancy Practice in Bath more years ago than I care to remember!

I've set up, bought, and sold businesses, and spent some time working for Administrators who sent me into failing businesses to turn them around

I have over 25 years of private practice and invaluable commercial experience
